Peter Hess investigated the effect of traditional Eastern sound healing approaches from India, Tibet, and Nepal on the human mind and body; his findings form the basis for Peter Hess® Sound-Massage. After many years of practice, Peter Hess adapted the traditional approaches to people in Western cultures. This training introduces basic principles of Peter Hess® Sound-Massage.
Participants receive instruction in sound massage theory, applications, cautions, and techniques, and gain experience giving and receiving basic Sound-Massage treatments.
This Level One course is the first step to become a Peter Hess® Certified Sound Massage Practitioner.
Level One for the Professional is for those wishing to add a skill to a current professional practice; This includes but is not limited to Acupuncturists, Massage Therapists, Social Workers, Mental Health Therapists, Nurses, Physicians, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Yoga Instructors.

Course Objective:
The goal of this training is to familiarize you, the participant, with the basic principles of the Peter Hess ® Sound Massage. Not only will you have the opportunity to experience the “Sound Massage” yourself, you will also receive your first instructions in sound massage applications and, as a result, you will be able to perform the “Sound Massage” for private use.

Information about various types of singing bowls and mallets
Sound massage theory.
Experience the sensation of the sound in the body
Demonstration of the basic sound massage
Guided practice of the basic sound massage in pairs

Application of the “Sound Massage” — possibilities, safety and limitations.
